"What would Picard do?"  - I steal this phrase from my beloved brother and sister in law who are also Trekies.

Sarah and I have been eagerly awaiting this delivery which arrived today: Star Trek the Next Generation season 1!  I ordered this DVD set about two weeks ago from play.com in Great Britain and we have been checking the mailbox in gleeful anticipation ever since.  In fact after I finish posting this we are going to settle in for an evening of relaxation with my generations favorit star ship captain - Jean Luc Picard.  Sarah and I have found great enjoyment in going through TV series together in our evenings together - and this has been a long awaited addition to our collection.

This is an example of one of the "margins" that we seek to provide in our lives.  We have two young children, so we dont exacly get out much.  Our quite times are after the kids are in bed.  So we simply "date in."  We will settle in with something good (and healthy) to munch on as we "engage" ourselves in some unashamed sci-fi geekdom.  This is one of the things that we like to do to relax together.

Nothing profound or deep in this post.  Only that we simply wanted to share our joy with you.  Now, let's fire up that DVD player!
