“I Am.” It is how the Lord describes/introduces Himself. It also seem to be the answer to whatever state I am in. The “I Am” transcends my condition. “I Am” takes my focus from off of myself and places it upon the Lord. When I find myself in difficult circumstances... Well, it is just that. I find myself when I really should be finding the Lord. “I Am” is undeniable. When the Lord says “I,” i must respond. My focus/attention/worship cannot be on myself or any other thing and the Lord at the same time. This is why all else fades in His presence. “I Am” is a statement of authority. On the issue of holiness, when the Lord says, “I Am,” I realize that i am not... But when I surrender to the “I Am,” i find myself in Him, and all that He Is becomes available to me by His grace. Living in this state requires a surrender to knowing that “i am not,” but “He Is.”
